The actor announced the main prize of the evening, “Best Film,” which ultimately went to Oppenheimer. After announcing the category, he announced that he would release a book, saying it would be “surprisingly revealing.”
According to the publication, the book contains the memoirs of “a man who no longer has anything to fear and nothing to hide.” It explores topics such as the actor’s childhood in New York, his upbringing with his mother, and his time studying at the New York School of the Performing Arts.
“However, the central thread of the book is the spirit of love. Love can fail and we can fail in our ambitions. But Al Pacino was lucky enough to fall deeply in love with the craft before he even had a vague idea of it. none of his earthly rewards and never fell in love. That makes all the difference,” explains the statement, to which euronews had access.
Al Pacino says he wrote “Sonny Boy” to express what he saw and went through in life. “It was an incredibly personal and enlightening experience to reflect on this journey, what acting has allowed me to do, and the worlds it has opened up,” he adds.
The book is scheduled to be released on October 8, but only in the English version.
