Last Friday, a United Airlines flight from Houston, Texas, USA, to Seattle was diverted due to an oversight of a dog on board.
The animal defecated in the first class aisle, and the unbearable smell led to the flight being diverted to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
According to The Sun, the crew spent two hours mopping the hallway floor. And yet the smell remained.
“The smell made me sick. The gate staff kept shouting at passengers and flight attendants. The first class toilet was declared unfit for use,” said one passenger.
The plane was in the air for only one hour and 20 minutes before the dog accident occurred, meaning it landed in Dallas around 7:39 p.m. local time.
According to passengers, some of the food they took with them on the trip ended up spoiling, given the waiting time for the situation to be resolved.
