The North Korean delegation has completed its visit to Iran, the official North Korean news agency reported this Friday. The trip was marked by suspicions of expanding bilateral cooperation on arms issues.
A “foreign economic relations delegation” led by North Korean Foreign Economic Relations Minister Yoon Jong-ho “visited Iran and returned to the country” on Thursday, KCNA reported in a one-line text.
Yoon’s visit comes at a time when there are suspicions that the two countries may be interested in strengthening defense cooperation. South Korean intelligence agencies have said they are concerned about the possibility that some of the missiles Tehran recently fired at Israel included components or technology from Kim Jong Un’s regime.
