George Clooney hosted a fundraiser for incumbent US President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign a few weeks ago and asked the president to drop out of the White House race.
In accordance with ABC NewsThe actor says he loves Joe Biden as a “senator, vice president and president,” even considering him a friend.
“I consider him a friend and I believe in him. I believe in his character. I believe in his morality. He has won many battles that he has had to face in the last four years,” he says.
However, he adds that the American governor “cannot win the battle against time”, emphasizing that Joe Biden is no longer the president the world knew.
“It’s sad to say, but the Joe Biden I was at a fundraiser with three weeks ago was not the Joe Biden of 2010. He wasn’t even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same guy we all witnessed in the debates,” he says.
