The Costa de Caparica Municipal Park will host the next edition of O Sol da Caparica from Thursday to Sunday. Headliners will include Rui Veloso, Xutos & Pontapés, Calema, Diogo Pizarra, Os Quatro e Meia, Nelson Freitas and Barbara Bandeira. In this 9th edition, the event will consist of four stages and, for the first time, one will be entirely dedicated to local musicians, as a way to honor not only the culture and artists, but also the people of the Almada region.
The event has been organised since 2019 by Grupo Chiado, which also participated in the competition, but from this year until 2026 it will be developed by Domingo no Mundo and Music Mov, led by André Sardet and António Gomes, together with Almada Chamber, which receives a financial contribution of 123,000 euros – 41,000 per year. “We want it to be a four-night summer sleep for everyone,” says Sardet.
