The involvement of a member of the public who, at 11:30 this Friday, told the maritime police that he saw someone fall off the pier at CDS Beach, next to O Barbas Restaurant, in Costa de Caparica, leads to a search being conducted in this zone.
Commander Rocha Pacheco, in charge of the Captaincy of the Maritime Police in Lisbon, explained cm that “although there were no records of missing persons on the beaches of the Costa de Caparica or in neighboring areas, it was decided to carry out searches.”
Thus, a device consisting of 12 operators and three vehicles, from the Cacilhas firefighters and the Marine Police, is sent to the place.
“The Air Force helicopter is still involved,” Commander Rocha Pacheco added.
So far there have been no observations.
