Woman suspected of attacking prominent pro-Putin blogger Vladlen Tatarsky will appear before a judge in a cafe in St. Petersburg, Russia, on Tuesday.
Daria Trepova, 26, will be heard in Moscow’s Basmanny District Court, which is to determine the length of the suspect’s pre-trial detention, AFP news agency reported. Russian law provides for life imprisonment for terrorist offences.
The woman was seen on Sunday, a few minutes before the explosion, handing Tatarsky a statuette. There is a suspicion that the explosive device was inside the facility.
Daria Trepova was arrested last year after attending an anti-war rally.
Now she is suspected of being the culprit of the terrorist attack in St. Petersburg, as a result of which, in addition to the murder of Vladen Tatarsky, 40 people were injured, 25 of whom had to be hospitalized.
