This Wednesday, TVI released a statement guaranteeing that the claims made by CMTV commentator Leo Caeiro during the “Manhã CM” program are “absolutely false and without any basis” about alleged claims by TVI owner Mario Ferreira about the transfer of Cristina Ferreira to railway station.
“It is not true that Mario Ferreira said that TVI will pay. [a indemnização à SIC]so she’s indifferent to Cristina” and that he added “come here, don’t worry” as he whimsically quotes the commentator in question, and that this was the reason for his move from SIC to TVI” can be read in the Queluz station’s communiqué.
Leo Caeiro and a group of commentators from Manhã CM addressed a headline in Correio da Manhã this Wednesday reporting that SIC is seeking new compensation from Cristina Ferreira for leaving TVI, reducing it from 20.3 million initials to 12.3 million euros .

False claims attributed to Mario Ferreira
TVI hereby warrants that the claims made in the comments on CMTV are completely false and without merit, referring to Mario Ferreira’s alleged claims to transfer Cristina Ferreira to this station.
It is not true that Mario Ferreira said “TVI will pay, so Cristina doesn’t care”, and that he added “come here, don’t worry” as he is bizarrely quoting the above commentator, and that this was the reason for his switch from SIC to TVI.
However, TVI deplores the flippant and gratuitous approach to this topic in these comments, demonstrating a complete lack of knowledge about the business and media environment.
