Two lions escaped from their cage during a circus performance on Sunday in Luoyang, China. According to the newspaper Global Times the tamer caught the lion in time, and there were no injuries. The circus was ordered to suspend performances.
According to the same source, a witness at the scene reported that the door was not properly locked, allowing one of the lions to quickly escape. Later, one of the lions was seen roaming outside the circus.
Videos posted on the social network Twitter show the moment when the lions leave the cage and cause panic.
