A journalist who has harassed Donald Trump testified in court this Wednesday to reiterate her story before a jury that the former president raped her while escorting him to a dressing room in a clothing store in 1996.
“I’m here because Donald Trump raped me, and when I wrote about it, he said that nothing happened. He lied and ruined my reputation. I’m here to try and get my life back,” E. Jean Carroll told the court.
Trump denies the accusations of the 79-year-old writer and has not appeared in the courtroom, limiting himself to a statement on social networks in which, against the backdrop of the accusations, he classified Carroll’s lawyer as a “political agent”. which stated that they were a “made-up hoax”.
