A Ukrainian shelling of a village in Russia’s Bryansk region killed four civilians Saturday night, Reuters reported.
“According to preliminary information, one residential building was completely destroyed and two more houses were partially destroyed,” Governor Alexander Bogomaz said on Telegram. “Emergency services are still on the scene. Four civilians were killed,” he added. Two more people were injured and taken to the hospital.
Ukraine almost never publicly takes responsibility for terrorist attacks inside Russia and on Russian-controlled territory in Ukraine.
Both sides deny they targeted civilians during Russia’s 14-month-long invasion of Ukraine.
