11 people were injured this Friday morning after the floor of a tent supporting an event in Paredes City Park collapsed. The alarm was raised at 00:25 and Paredes firefighters were mobilized to the scene.
The victims, all minors, suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital. Four were sent to the São João Hospital and seven to the Padre Américo Hospital.
This was announced by the mayor of the city of Paredes. cm, that the authorities will now determine responsibility for the accident.
“It is necessary to determine liability, because there are problems with insurers, and so that this does not happen again,” he explained.
Young people were in a tent where city holidays are held. Some of them are athletes and have participated in the “Paredes Handball Cup”.
At the moment, only a 16-year-old teenager remains in the hospital, the rest will be able to continue participating in competitions.
