Fabio Guerra’s mother responded to a letter that Clovis Abreu wrote to the PSP agent’s parents, expressing condolences and justifying a statement in which he said: “Don’t let them upset me.”
“When comments are public and then they say that they are not intended for the people in question, then you see the character of the man Clovis Abreu,” Elsa Guerra began in her post on the social network Facebook.
“No one will give us back our boy, the one we wanted most, to be here next to us. The melancholy does not decrease, but increases,” he complained.
In a letter, Clovis Abreu explained that the statement “Don’t let them upset me” was not addressed to Fabio Guerra’s parents, but to the journalists present at the scene.
“Even though we smile, our hearts are broken. It bleeds, and Fabio does not leave our thoughts for a second,” he emphasized.
Clovis Abreu is in preventive detention for the murder of Fabio Guerra and attacks on other PSP agents outside a nightspot in Lisbon.
“I have a family and feelings, and I’m sorry that on that day I knew I was going to be arrested and I was very nervous. If you want to distort what I meant,” the mother concluded.
