Two NCIS officers were injured late Saturday afternoon when the boat they were traveling on, intercepting a fast boat carrying three drug dealers and dozens of bales of hashish, was deliberately rammed by a second crime boat that managed to escape. .
Marine police officers, one wounded in the leg and another in the arm, were dragged ashore. The injury will not be serious.
Nevertheless, they managed to detain three suspects from the first boat. The second boat dropped several bales of hashish into the sea. They are also being picked up by members of a Marine boarding platoon who are on standby in the Algarve due to the high number of boats found carrying drugs in recent weeks.
The operation took place in the south of the Algarve.
