A 56-year-old man suspected of domestic violence has been banned by a court from returning to the house where he lived with his mother in Pombal or attempting to contact her by any means.
According to PSP Leiria, “family relations deteriorated over time” as a result of “constant verbal and physical attacks” to which the woman suffered from her son. The man was detained to “protect the victim” and “prevent the abuse from continuing.”
Another man, 62, was also arrested this week by the PSP in Pombal as part of a domestic violence investigation involving his ex-partner, 54. The suspect was also released by the court, he is prohibited from contacting the victim and must leave the house.
